WordPress Stats
I wanted a simple little counter for a client using wordpress.
Anything like Google Analytics would have been way OTT and I really wanted to keep everything within WP.
I’ve found QuickStats: wordpress.org/plugins site; developers plugin page;
So far so great! Does all that I need, very easy to use and some nice features such as how many logs to keep, what to display and excluding from within the site itself. And if you’re an rss junkie like me(!) you can even have every hit sent to you in a ’secure using a magic number’ feed giving lots of info.
I’ve just installed it on this site as well!

2012 logo petition
If you want the logo changed (and why wouldn’t you?!), there’s an online petition at: http://www.gopetition.co.uk/petitions/change-the-london-2012-logo.html
I’ve signed it and at the time of post there were 26,150 signatures!

London 2012 Logo- Must be a Joke!
Ok, so the 2012 organisers are having a laugh right?! Seroiusly, they can’t honestly be putting forward this as the offical logo for the 2012 london olympic games, it looks like a school kid made it in paint …

… or actually a mash-up of the kiss logo!!!!
Why change what they had used during the bidding process?! It was great, simple, elegant and spoke of london.

Look there’s the river and it looks like a celebration banner! And the font is very similar to the one used on the tube, surely one of the london’s most well known things!
I can only hope that they are going to own to this one being a joke and go back to using the old one,but somehow I just don’t think it’s gonna happen.
Perhaps this one will grow on me, but I just can’t see that happening…
