gmail & calendar on ipod

I’ve been having a play with two great little programs from johnnyGizmo for syncing your google calendar and gmail contacts onto an ipod.

The calendar one is very nice indeed (although I had to add an extra trailing / to the ical address).  The contacts one works, but there are still a few teething issues I think.

But I’m still very grateful for both programs, and I’m sure they’ll get better and better!  Thanks Johnny!

da vinci answers podcast

I’ve just started listening to the da vinci code answers podcast, based on the book by Josh McDowell.

It’s pretty good and certainly gets to the truth (unlike the book and film!).  It’s set-up with three student aged ‘guys’ reading the book and finiding out more about the subjects raised.

It’s produced by ccci, well done guys!

Arsenal Lose :-(

But we did play great, shame the reff was so card happy with arsenal and not so with barca.

I really hope that the spirit that we played in will be enough to keep henry.

Google Calendar

Nothing to do on Friday Afternoon, so I’m having a play with Google Calendar.

It’s amazing!  I’ve used (or tried out) mozilla calendar and the plugins for thunderbird in the past, but had gone back to bits of paper (yeah very hitech!).  But after 5mins gc, I’m loving it!

There are some great tips on this post that make it even better.

I have to say the ‘quick add’ feature is brilliant, how does it do that?! And with some FF extensions thrown in, it’s a winner.

serenity = brilliant!

I’ve just got a copy of this fab film (serenity) from my local dvd place (and it was cheap as well!).

I heard really good things about it, but hadn’t seen it before.  Well I’ve seen it and well, excellent is a bit of an understatement!  The best bits of the matrix (only not so self richeous), starwars (only not so self richeous ;-), the fifth element (only the plot is more plausable) and LOST and you’ve got one great movie.

I’m sure I’ll come back to it time and again.  Now to see Firefly, the series from which it comes!
